About MORGANZA ACTION COALITION
Terrebonne and northern Lafourche Parishes are in a fight for their lives, and our best hope for survival is the Morganza-to- the-Gulf Hurricane Protection System. Every day that passes without the levee system in place increases our risk of losing lives, homes, businesses and entire communities to deadly tidal surges associated with hurricanes and tropical storms.
In 2006, a group of Terrebonne Parish residents and business owners who recognize the importance of the Morganza-to-the- Gulf Hurricane Protection System to the continued survivability, economic viability and growth of our region, formed the Morganza Action Coalition (MAC).
MAC is a local, unified voice advocating for the Morganza-to- the-Gulf Hurricane Protection System. This is our one and only focus. We rely on financial contributions from individuals and businesses in order to successfully lobby for federal authorization and funding of the Morganza project.
