$19 Million for Morganza Included in Federal Appropriations Bill
Houma, LA – The Morganza Action Coalition is pleased to announce that over $19 million in funding for the Morganza to the Gulf Hurricane Protection Project is included in the federal Fiscal Year 2022 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations measure.
Gov. Edwards Touts MtG in Senate Testimony
Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards touted the multiple benefits of the Morganza to the Gulf Hurricane Protection Project to flood control and a healthy ecosystem during testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. The governor addressed committee members during a February 23 field hearing in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
